Daily Overview: Saturday, April 8th
I had a nice day and felt very calm overall. This was a day of being a little tired but alert and mainly having good body control. Too busy for more aggressive tics to make an appearance- very much in a flow state.
Worst tics were in my hand, but manageable.
Light to moderate overall.

If you wonder what it’s like having Tourette syndrome, it’s a lot like like trying to play a game of Jenga, but instead of pulling out blocks, your body randomly flails your arms around and shouts obscenities! More accurately, it’s like holding in a sneeze. If I haven’t mentioned this already, I did have minor vocal tics when diagnosed, but have since- luckily, grown out of them.
During the day, I wondered once or twice if I was experiencing any initial benefit from the meditative nature of Mendi sessions- such as improved sleep quality. I am highly effected by poor sleep quality and the difference is typically clear. I’ve dealt with this a long time, so the quality of my work usually unaffected unless tics are at absolute peak levels.
Pre session routine – same as usual.

My activity struggled today but my resilience was consistently higher than in previous sessions.
Making a note of this for further thought later.
I’m happy to report all sessions went uninterrupted today. Just before the largest peak in session A, I remember feeling extremely uplifted and balanced with my thoughts, and activity soared with resilience. I will definitely try to hone in on that feeling tomorrow. That’s it for today!
