Day 26-30: Neurofeedback Milestone

Day 26-30 Overview:

I’ve done my best to balance analysis with readability, entertainment with information, and neurofeedback training with my busy schedule.

“They say” it takes 30 days of consistency to form a new habit, but this is a generalization and misunderstanding of research- a notion popularized by “Psycho-Cybernetics”, a book written by a surgeon in the 1960’s. Modern research suggests much wider variation;

Approximately 18 – 254 days given the variables and complexity of the task.

As one could imagine, the subject of habits, habit-forming or habit-breaking has been an active theme throughout my entire life – mainly in the way of dissecting my own behavior and routines for the sake of establishing the best possible habits that I believe will be to my benefit.

I’ve yet to establish neurofeedback training as a compulsory routine, but I’m getting there. Anyway,

Overview: Thursday, May 25th

I hadn’t slept well the night before this session, but I don’t believe this would be impactful enough to explain the unusual behavior occuring during this session.

See below:

Everything started off relatively normal, my breathing was relaxed, and I began lifting the ball as naturally as reaching out and picking something up.

Then wild, volatile highs and lows took over. I’m currently looking into what may be causing this technically speaking and comparing environmental variables presented during the session against past session notes.

Side note,

I’ve had an AMAZING past few days.

I have made some major successes and interesting new developments on many fronts.

Tics have been have been light to moderate in severity.
