About Me:
I’m a young professional from Baltimore, Maryland. I am Home Improvement Professional, a proud parent, and a researcher. I was diagnosed with TS when I was 12 years old. I combat motor tics which can be disruptive, painful, and exhausting. I am currently in the process of acquiring an established small business, which has proven very demanding. After a reassurance of my most unpleasant ‘tics’,I decided to finally face my Tourette Syndrome head on after 17 years of ‘winging it’.
Now, I’m exploring the effectiveness of fNIRS Neurofeedback training in reducing TS symptoms. Please enjoy my progress reports and curious rambling.
I’m hoping others with TS will find this blog relatable, informative, and useful as a guideline or an inspiration to pursue this treatment option. Everyone is different, especially when it comes to TS. Neurofeedback training could very well turn out to be a universal treatment for TS, if implemented correctly. I’ve been known to patiently push things to their limit. Let’s see what we can learn.
